It’s definitely summer now. The high school I drive by on my way to work is out for the year, the trees are full of leaves, the temperatures are going up and up. But it’s not too late to reflect on spring. Today we’re looking at 10 things, big and small, that I learned this past season. Maybe as we go you’ll think of a few things you’ve learned in the past few months. Let’s jump in.
10 Things I Learned This Spring
Stress is good for you. See last week.
Place catering orders well in advance, no matter what the restaurant owner tells you.
Five social engagements in one weekend is too many.
It’s best to go do something on Saturday morning even if I feel like sitting around. My baby doesn’t understand “let’s just chill this morning.”
Charlie likes red bean chili.
The person I imagined in my head as Beth Moore is actually Joyce Meyer. I do not know how this happened, but I’m straight now. Also, Beth’s memoir was well written but hit me funny.
Reading good fiction is addicting, and I will not be watching the Wheel of Time series.
John Green’s novels are really sad.
Setting up a remote server (read: personal cloud) and website is easier than I thought, thanks to internet friend Derek Sivers.
I bowl equally well (poorly) left handed as right handed.
Wow, kind of all over the map, but that’s how spring felt too so it is not surprising. What’s something you learned this spring?
Until next week,
Love,
Amy
