A few weeks ago I read an “article” about how to cut off your Spotify subscription. It went like this: Go into your profile on the app and… cancel your subscription.
Of course I thought it would tell me something helpful, like how to export my playlists to a spreadsheet so I could rebuild them by buying music. I closed the article and sighed.
This week I cancelled my Spotify subscription, but the month hasn’t actually gone out yet, so I can’t tell you how it’s going. But I have had my physical record player on at home this week out of anticipation.
The hardest hit for the Spotify subscription is the audiobooks, because you get 15 hours a month of a huge selection, and that is well worth the price. But, of course, it’s only worth it if I routinely listen to 15 hours of audiobooks every month, which I don’t, especially now that I don’t commute.
So I’ll keep you posted. Meanwhile, $12.95 per month is stacking up in the budget column. That’s a record every two months or a digital album every month. Or, some completely different goodie at the end of a year. We’ll see.
Weekly Recap
Monday: Chores, laundry, glucose discussion
Tuesday: Cooking, made the quilt sandwich
Wednesday: Quilting, reading
Thursday: Long run, quilting
Friday: For the holiday we went to the pool and put the toddler down before dark and it was great. Also, I finished the quilt!
I had enough cloth to do the binding in color and I’m delighted. I hadn’t thought much about the binding in the beginning, and I didn’t figure I would have enough color so I thought it would be grey, but lo, I had enough and it pops and I love it. I love the whole project so so much more than I thought I would when I started it.
Until tomorrow.
